I'm excited to be participating in the upcoming show, Material Desires, curated by Rebecca Siemering. The show will be in February at the CRAFTLAND Gallery, and it focuses on an artists obsession with the materials that they work with. I think that I will probably be making some jewelry out of rubber gloves... I'll post more about that later... But, for now, here is the first description of the show.
Material Desires
2/11/10 - 3/13/10
Bright work for a dull season. At the tail-end of winter, we all get a little stir crazy, waiting for the colors of spring to pop again. The CRAFTLAND gallery will be filled with primary colors and patterns to thaw the mental freeze of winter. Colored pencils, fabric, glass and paint will fill the gallery with eye-popping warmth and wonder. Please go to the Craftland web site for more information and directions.
